A record number of programs were submitted for consideration for the 2014 S4M festival, up from 25 last year. We posted the programs on S4M for public comment and voting until November 4, 2011. Programs were posted without identifying the orchestras that submitted them. Three orchestras asked that their programs not be posted. While the public vote won’t solely determine the programs that are chosen, it has an influence on the decisions. 2014 programs and orchestras will be announced February 1, 2012. Please check back then.
NOTE: To prevent “vote stuffing,” voting was controlled by IP address and only one vote per entry was allowed per IP address. Thus, if you had multiple computers on a network and they share an IP address, you get only one vote per entry for that IP address.
Hurrah! for the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra for winning the votes (progam 7)! The program will awe and inspire the audience. It's a new kind of music played and composed by brilliant artists.
